developed by a large number of volunteers and supported by more than
25 businesses specialized in OpenACS development.

Examples of where OpenACS is currently used:

- as a specialized CMS system for sites such as

- for web applications such as .LRN (http://dotlrn.collaboraid.net),
  the open source e-learning platform developed by MIT and adopted by
  University of Heidelberg, University of Bergen, and a number of
